An improvised bomb has been made safe in the Tallaght area of Dublin.

A suspect device was found by a sanitation worker near the Tymon Park area of Tallaght this afternoon.

The army bomb disposal team put a cordon around the area and made the device safe without the need for a controlled explosion.
