A 12-year-old Dublin girl has developed an app with over two million downloads.

Isabel and her father Aidan who is originally from Dublin, came up with the idea for the calculator app while doing her maths homework.

Calculator Plus is now the number-one rated app worldwide on Amazon's Android App Store.

Aidan Hughes said his daughter's success is the talk of her school. "Belle is absolute delighted, she's the toast of the school. Some of them are asking: 'Really? Did you do that?' It's awesome."

The app was also named as one of USA Today's essential Kindle apps.
