Constitutional convention to discuss issue of compulsory voting

The Irish electoral system will come under the spotlight today at the meeting of the constitutional convention.
The convention, which takes place this weekend, aims to review the Dáil system.
The way Irish politicians are elected will be debated today and again in June, before the convention makes its recommendations on whether or not the system should be changed.
Chairman of the convention, Tom Arnold, expects the issue of compulsory voting to crop up this weekend.
