Figures see more suffering from high blood pressure

More Irish people are being diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Today is World Hypertension Day, the medical term for the condition, and figures released to coincide with the day show that 24% of people have been diagnosed with the condition.

Symptoms for high blood pressure are generally silent so people are being urged to have it checked even if they feel well.
