The man shot dead at a cash-for-clothes facility in Rathcoole, Dublin, today was a father of one from Lithuania.

The man, aged in his 40's, was shot dead at the Greenogue Industrial Estate in Rathcoole at around 9.30am this morning.

He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí are now appealing for information on a silver-coloured, 05 TN registered, Audi A3 hatchback which may have been used by the gunman.

It is believed the victim was known to Gardaí.

It was earlier reported that the shooting is being linked to a gang feud within the clothes recycling industry.
