Young prisoner claims to have been sexually assaulted

It has been reported an investigation is underway at St Patrick's Institution in Dublin, after a young prisoner claimed he was tied up and sexually assaulted in his cell.
According to The Irish Times, the 20-year-old was taken to the sex assault unit of the Rotunda Hospital for a medical examination, following the alleged attack.
The prisoner claims he was returned to his cell, where the following day he was subjected to a beating.
It is understood the Irish Prison Service and the Inspector of Prisons are investigating.
