A seven-year-old boy remains in critical condition after he was pulled from a river yesterday evening in Co Cork.

The boy was playing with three other boys in the Tir Cluain estate on the Fermoy Road in Midleton, when he slipped and fell into the Owenacurra river at around 6.15pm.
