Cannabis plants seized in Tipperary

Cannabis plans worth around €160,000 have been seized in Thurles, Co Tipperary.

They were found when gardaí searched a premises at Moyne as part of an on-going investigation into the cultivation and sale and supply of cannabis in the Thurles area.

A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is currently being questioned at Templemore Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act .

A 32-year-old man was arrested in a follow-up operation.

He is being detained at Thurles Garda Station also under Section 2, of the Drug Trafficking Act.
