Waterford couple celebrate €3m Lotto win

A Co Waterford couple are celebrating after collecting their lotto winnings of more than €3m this morning.

The couple, who want to remain private, said their son alerted them after hearing that the winning ticket was sold in Dungarvan Shopping centre.

Their plans for the €3,016,645 include donations to charity, sharing with family and a holiday somewhere nice.

It is the second big win for ticket seller Easons in Dungarvan.

In April 2010, the same shop sold the second highest ever Lotto jackpot to a couple from Waterford who scooped more than €16.7m on that occasion.
