Dog earns radio host gig

A dog has landed a presenting job at a radio station.

Rockdog, a black Labrador, has signed up to host a weekly rock show on Kerrang! Radio every Sunday afternoon and he is to "interview" guests at the studios of the West Midlands-based station.

James Walshe, Programme Director at Kerrang! Radio, said: "People seem to be having trouble believing us but it really is a dog. Like, an actual dog. It’s a programme for people who love rock music. And dogs".

The deal has come about thanks to Kerrang! Radio's partnership with Guide Dogs, a service which transforms the lives of thousands of blind and partially sighted people every year.

His fee is thought to be a tin of dog food and regular pats on the head. His first programme will air on Sunday at 5pm.
