The deceased victims of the Magdalene Laundries will be remembered today at a special ceremony at Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin.

Efforts are now underway to secure adequate compensation payments for the survivors.

Spokesperson of the Justice for Magdalenes group Claire McGettrick said the group was "still in the process of digesting (the findings of) the McAleese report".

She said the group had submitted a briefing note on the redress process and was awaiting answers to their questions.

Today's ceremony in at Glasnevin Cemetery will take place at 2pm.
