Man admits manslaughter of journalist in Dublin

A Templeogue man has admitted killing journalist Eugene Moloney, who was assaulted in the city-centre last year.

Twenty-one-year-old Gary Burch of Kennington Close, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to the manslaughter of Mr Moloney on Camden Street in June, 2012.

The case has been adjourned for a number of weeks to allow Mr Burch to complete a Fás course he is currently attending.

He will be sentenced in June.
