Poll confirms FF as biggest party

A new opinion poll out tomorrow reinforces the findings of a poll published last week which showed that Fianna Fáil are now the most popular party in the country.

The Sunday Independent Millward Brown poll puts the party on support levels of 27% - two points ahead of Fine Gael.

It is the first poll taken since the landmark deal on the Anglo promissory notes, and would appear to indicate that the Government received no boost in support from the agreement with the ECB.

The poll puts Fianna Fáil on 27%, Fine Gael on 25%, Sinn Féin on 20% and Labour on 13%.

Independents and others are on 14% while the Greens and the United Left alliance are on 1% each.

Voters were also asked about the Croke Park deal with 37% saying they did not think it would lead to significant savings.
