Rangeland re-commence production, while Findus find horse meat in beef lasagne
Rangeland Foods has re-commenced production after consulting with the Department of Agriculture.
All processing at the firm's plant in Co Monaghan had been halted after the detection of horse DNA last month.
Rangeland's CEO Jim Lucey says the company had been the victim of a fraud - which had caused huge reputational damage.
He says the firm will now concentrate on securing the future of the 60 plus jobs it provides in Monaghan.
Meanwhile, Findus has confirmed it ha found traces of horsemeat in its beef lasagne.
It's blaming one of its French suppliers and has withdrawn products from shelves.
Yesterday Aldi stopped selling some of its beef ready-meals, which came from the same supplier.
