€650,000 cannabis hauls seized
Detectives have seized cannabis and cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €650,000 in two separate operations.
As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the south of the country, gardaí carried out a search of open ground in Ballyhahill, Glin, Co Limerick.
Cannabis believed to worth around €400,000 was recovered.
A Garda spokesman said: “No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.”
Separately, a man was arrested after officers from the Divisional Drugs Unit in Wexford raided a house at Ballybeg Great in Screen.
Cannabis plants in “various stages of maturity” were found.
They are estimated to have a street value of €250,000.
A 42-year-old man was detained in connection with the investigation and is being questioned at Enniscorthy Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.
