Algeria: Security forces surround hostage-takers

Security forces in Algeria have surrounded Islamist fighters who killed two people and have taken 41 foreign hostages, including one Irishman.

Amongst the foreign hostages is one Irish man, seven Americans and a number of British and other Europeans, after an attack on a gas field owned by BP and Statoil yesterday.
