HSE issue flu warning as number of GP visits doubles during Christmas

With the number of flu victims on the rise this winter, the HSE is urging people to take care not to catch the virus, and if you do, not to pass it on.

The number of people consulting their GP about the flu has doubled over the Christmas season, with the over 65s, children under two and pregnant women being among the most vulnerable.
