Second man in hospital after fatal shooting in Kildare

Gardaí investigating a fatal shooting in Co. Kildare have confirmed that a second man has been taken to hospital, with injuries to his hand, which are not believed to be life threatening.
A 33-year-old man was rushed to Naas General Hospital just before 6am this morning with serious gunshot wounds, following an incident at a house in Kilmeague.
He died a short time later.
Gardaí later confirmed a 50-year-old man was being treated in hospital after he sustained injuries to his hands in the same incident.
Investigating officers said they have recovered a legally held shotgun and are appealing for anyone with information to contact Naas Garda Station.
No arrests have been made and Gardaí say they are keeping an open mind and are not ruling out the possibility that the man's death may have been accidental.
