Man killed in Dublin shooting

A 35 year-old man has been shot dead in Dublin.

Gardaí say the victim, was dropped off at St James' Hospital, at around 7 o'clock this evening with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.

The car that was used to drop the man off at hospital has since been located on Cork St. in Dublin 8 and the area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

The exact location of where the shooting took place is still unknown.

Gardaí have launched a murder investigation but so far no arrests have been made.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact Kilmainham Garda station.
