Gardaí make arrest in 12 year old case

Gardaí investigating the murder of Sandra Collins in Mayo 12 years ago have arrested a man in his 40s

The 29-year-old went missing in early December 2000

The man was arrested in the Ballina area of Mayo and is being detained at Ballina Garda station.

He is due to appear before a special sitting of Ballina District court tomorrow morning charged in connection with the murder
