A man has been killed in a fire in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

A man has been killed in a fire in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí at the Bridewell station are investigating the blaze which broke out in a flat in Constitution Hill.

The victim who was in his late 50s was found when emergency services were alerted at around 3.30am this morning.

Nobody else was in the building at the time.

The scene is currently sealed off as Gardaí carry out a forensic examination and the state patholigist has been notified.
