Gardaí appeal for witnesses after pedestrian hit by truck

An elderly man has been killed - after he was struck by a truck in Slane village in Co. Meath.

The pedestrian, who is in his 80s, was crossing the Drogheda Road at around 3.30 this afternoon, when he was hit by the vehicle.
