Almost 150 make complaints in NI abuse inquiry
An inquiry into historical abuse at institutions in the North has received 140 applications, 10 of which are from the Republic of Ireland.
Sir Anthony Hart, the Chairman of the Inquiry, said 30 institutions had been contacted and asked to cooperate with the inquiry and to provide information to it.
He said that, until legislation was passed setting up the inquiry, the institutions could not be named.
The inquiry covers the period 1922 to 1995.
