Retail giants announce jobs for Christmas season

650 new jobs are being created around the country for the Christmas period.

Pharmacy chain Boots and department store Heatons are taking on extra staff for the busy festive season.

Boots Ireland is looking to fill 400 temporary positions, both full and part-time, at its stores around the country.

Anyone who is interested should visit their site where they can complete a two-part online assessment which should take about 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, Heatons has also announced its looking for seasonal staff.

The department store is creating 250 temporary positions at its 52 outlets around the country.

Recruitment is set to begin in the coming weeks.
