Taylor wins Woman of the Year Award

Olympic gold medallist Katie Taylor has won this year's Irish Tatler Woman of the Year Award.

The Bray boxer was presented with the award at a special ceremony in Dublin last night.

Dr Rhona Mahony, Master of the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street, won the Public Life Award, while Denise Charlton, chief executive officer of the Immigrant Council of Ireland, picked up the Special Recognition Award.

Former Judge Catherine McGuinness won the Hall of Fame Award.
