Galway road re-opens following fatal collision

Gardaí say the Maam Cross to Galway road has now reopened at Ballinahown, near Inverin after a fatal collision overnight.

A male pedestrian in his 60s died after he was hit by a car at Inverin.

Any witnesses to the incident are being asked to contact gardaí in Salthill.
