Five sentenced for part in violent Mountjoy riot

Five inmates have been sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for their roles in a violent fracas at Mountjoy Prison three years ago.

Three prison officers were injured when between 15 and 20 inmates armed with wood and metal bars became involved in an altercation with the inmates of a cell on December 27, 2009.
