Masterchef judge Dylan 'over the moon' to have won licensing row

Masterchef judge Dylan McGrath says he is over the moon he has won a licensing row in the courts over his new venture Fade Street Social in Dublin city.

He says he will be hiring up to 60 staff for the restaurant and tapas bar and they'll be taking bookings from this Thursday.

The TV chef faced down objections to a full bar license from local business people including the man behind the Electric Picnic John Reynolds, who owns the nearby Market Bar.

Outside court McGrath said business is business: "I just want to say that more important than anything else, I have the utmost respect for John Reynolds.

"He is a fantastic man, an innovative thinker and someone I have loads of respect for, but business is business.

"We're trying to design a social event and Fade Street Social is exactly that now."
