Man rescued off east Cork coast

A man has been rescued off the east coast of Cork after his sailing dinghy capsized this afternoon.

The alarm was raised at around 1pm and the Ballycotton lifeboat was dispatched to the scene one mile north east of Ballycotton lighthouse.

The man was found uninjured within minutes, sitting on the hull of the upturned 14ft dinghy which was towed ashore.
