Gilmore: Time feature tribute to work of Government
The Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has said a feature about Ireland on the front cover of the European edition of Time Magazine is a testament to the restoration of the country's reputation.
A picture of Taoiseach Enda Kenny appears with the headline "The Celtic Comeback".
The magazine's Europe Editor Catherine Meyer said she chose him for the article because there is a gulf between the way he is perceived in in Ireland and abroad.
Mr Gilmore said this is proof the coalition has been fixing the country.
The Tánaiste said: "The title of the article is a tribute, I think, to the fact that we have worked in that intervening period of time to restore our reputation.
"And that is very much the message that we are getting abroad that this country, despite all the economic turmoil that there is in the world, despite the many economic difficulties in Europe, that we are making the recovery."
