A former garda is to stand trial next July accused of corruption and illegally possessing a shotgun.

Daniel Tarrant of Doon, Kiskeam, Mallow, Co Cork indicated at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court that he will contest the three charges against him which date back to 2009.
