A book of evidence has been served on Limerick man John Dundon, who is charged with the murder of Shane Geoghegan four years ago.

A book of evidence has been served on Limerick man John Dundon, who is charged with the murder of Shane Geoghegan.

The 28-year-old Garryowen rugby player was shot dead in Dooradoyle, Limerick, on November 9, 2008.

In August, 29 year old John Dundon, with a last address at Hyde Road, Limerick, was charged with his murder.

The case was brought before the non-jury Special Criminal Court as the Director of Public Prosecutions certified that the ordinary courts were inadequate to secure the administration of justice.

Mr Dundon was today remanded in custody to appear before the non-jury court via video link on October 30th.
