Pair remanded in connection with theft and fraud offences

Two men have appeared in court in Kildare charged with theft and fraud offences amounting to over €8.8m.

John Duffy from Clogheen, Monasterevin in Kildare - who is a former solicitor - and Tony McAuliffe from French Furze in Kildare Town face two charges each under the theft and fraud offences act.

Both men appeared before Naas District Court earlier today where they were remanded on bail to appear in court again next month.
