Ireland's first ever property price register has been launched. The website allows users to see how much properties in the country sold for since January 1, 2010.

The propertypriceregister.ie site contains the price paid for individual properties and contains details of all residential sales - both cash sales and sales with mortgage.

It also includes the date of sale and the address, including the house number, of each residential property sold.

The Property Services Regulatory Authority has said the information will be updated on a regular basis and that, for the most part, the information will be published within a month of the date of sale of the property.
