Meagher family 'devastated' as accused appears in court
The family of Jill Meagher have released a statement describing their devastation after 41-year-old Adrian Ernest Bayley was charged with her rape and murder.
He was due to appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court at 9.30am local time, however news site has reported a delay in the timing of the court appearance.
