A man in his 60s has died in hospital tonight after he was assaulted during a robbery at his home in Sligo.

A man in his 60s has died in hospital tonight after he was assaulted during a robbery at his home in Sligo.

The incident happened sometime between 9pm on Wednesday and 9pm on Friday on Old Market Street in Sligo town.
