Fine Gael TD and GP Liam Twomey has defended the decision to add Swords and Balbriggan to the primary care centre list, saying they had been identified on the broader list of 200 sites.

The two locations are inside the Health Minister James Reilly’s constituency and according to documents received by the Irish Times, the Junior Health Minister with responsibility for Primary Care, Roisín Shortall said she found it 'hard to understand' why the list had been changed.
