Man charged over Carlow shooting

Gardaí investigating a shooting incident which occurred at Burrin Road , Carlow on Tuesday have charged a man in his early 40s. He is due to appear at a special sitting of Carlow District Court this evening.

A 25-year-old man was shot a number of times and received injuries to his knee and stomach. He was taken to St Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny to be treated for his injuries.
