Gardaí investigate boy's death in North Cork
Gardaí are investigating the suspicious death of an eight-year-old boy in North Cork this morning.
The boy died following an incident at at house at Harrison Place in Charleville at around 9.30am this morning.
The area has been sealed off and a full technical examination is due to take place.
The services of the State pathologist's office have been requested and Dr Margaret Bolster is expected to attend the scene later.
The house has been cordoned off pending a full technical examination.
Garda sources have indicated the incident could be upgraded to a full murder inquiry.
