UNICEF Ireland appeals for support for Syrian children

UNICEF Ireland is appealing to Irish people for support in order to continue their emergency work in Syria.

Actor and UNICEF Ireland Ambassador Stephen Rea will today launch an appeal for the one million Syrian children caught in the violent conflict.

It is estimated more than 30,000 children under the age of five have been separated from their families and homes.

Executive Director with UNICEF, Peter Power, said although times are tough financially in Ireland, he is asking people to give what they can.
