Olympian's boxing club in court over barring order

A Dublin boxing club which counts Olympian Darren O' Neill as a member is in the High Court after it was locked out of its premises last week.

Trinity Boys Boxing Club is looking for orders allowing them access the Trinity Sports and Leisure Club, Donaghmede and directing the landlords to restore electricity in the gym.

The court has been told they were barred on August 14 for alleged gross misconduct.

The club, which trains girls and boys, denies a claim that a letter for funding from Chairman Patrick Byrne to the Irish Amateur Boxing Association was a forgery.
