Cork statue to remember Keohane
A statue will be unveiled in Cork today in memory of explorer Patrick Keohane.
Keohane was one of the four Irish members of Captain Robert Scott's Antarctic explorers who went to the South Pole in 1910 on a discovery expedition.
He is the only member of the group who has not been formally recognised until now.
The men faced treacherous conditions during the expedition and out of the two groups that travelled, Patrick's was the only one to survive.
