Bathing ban continues at Cork beaches
Some of Cork's beaches remain out of bounds for swimmers today.
Cork County Council has banned swimming in seven areas after dangerous levels of e-coli were found in the water.
The bathing spots effected are the Blueflag Beaches of Redbarn in Youghal, Garretstown near Kinsale, and Garryvoe near Castlemartyr.
The Front Strand and Claycastle in Youghal, Coolmaine near Kilbrittain, and Oysterhaven have also closed to bathers.
Public notices have been erected as a precautionary measure until the quality has been restored.
