Female pedestrian killed in farm vehicle accident

A female pedestrian in her late 50s has died after being hit by a farm vehicle in Co Cavan today.

A female pedestrian in her late 50s has died after being hit by a farm vehicle in Co Cavan today.

The incident happened at around 12 this afternoon in Killcogy village.

A postmortem is due to take place at Cavan General Hospital.

The road is currently closed while gardaí carry out a forensic examination of the scene.
