Heavy rain makes roads impassable

Overnight downpours and thunderstorms caused havoc for drivers in the midlands and south of the country this morning.

Flooding is still posing a problem at this stage, with a number of roads impassable in Tipperary, and also in Waterford, where a landslide has closed a road to traffic.
