Collision between minibus and car leaves four dead

Four young men have died, after a collision between a car and a mini bus near Tullamore in Co. Offaly.

The men - all in their 20s - were travelling in the car, and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The three occupants of the mini bus are being treated at the Midland Regional Hospital, for non life threatening injuries.

The accident happened on the Geashill road, at Annagharvey, at about 5.30pm this evening.

Emergency services are currently at the scene, and the Tullamore Portarlington road is closed.

A forensic scene investigation will now be carried out.
