Rate of inflation eases in July

The annual rate of inflation eased to 1.6% last month, down 0.1% from June.

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show a 9.4% yearly rise in the cost of education, while transport prices were up 7% and alcohol and tobacco rose by 3.3%.
