North Dublin water supply safe to drink
North Dublin's water supply is said to be safe to drink and cook with once again.
Up to 1,400 homes and businesses were affected by the ban.
The alert came into effect yesterday after water sampling test results indicated there was a possible presence of bacteria in the water.
The affected areas were located from the Howth Road to Castle Avenue, and from the Howth Road at Collins Avenue to Clontarf Road.
However, the water has now been treated and Dublin City Council says it will continue to monitor the supply.
