Shopkeeper critical after Dublin armed robbery
A shop assistant remains in a critical condition in hospital following an armed robbery in Dublin city centre over the weekend.
A man in his 30s entered a shop on James Street shortly before 10pm on Saturday night and threatened two staff members with a syringe.
A struggle took place, gardaà were alerted, and an arrest was made.
One of the staff members in his 30s collapsed at the scene and was taken to St James's Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition this morning.
The man arrested remains in Garda custody.
