A cliff rescue team was called to the aid of a female tourist in Howth today, after she fell while descending a cliff path to a beach.

A cliff rescue team was called to the aid of a female tourist in Howth today, after she fell while descending a cliff path to a beach.

Howth Coast Guard paramedics treated the woman for spinal injuries as a precaution.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was transferred to the helicopter by the Coast Guard team before being transported to Tallaght Hospital.
